Question:

Is it possible to put piece of a root from a banana plant in water to start a new plant?

My neighbor told me it would work. I transplanted my plant to a larger pot today and put several of the large and small roots in a bowl of water. Does anybody know if this will work?

  2. Yes it should work and there are rooting powders/compounds you can use too. Plants can propogate from single cells.
