  1. If you sub vocalize you will "hear" yourself.

To sub vocalize is to form words and sentences mentally without moving lips/teeth/tongue etc.

This process engages the speech centers in the brain and allows you to "hear" your thoughts.

  2. wait doesn't everybody do that?

crud now I feel really weird cuz I do

  3. Sure. If I want to, when I think, I can hear my own voice in my head. It's entirely possible.

  4. as im writing this im hearing myself say it,but im not talking.

and when im in a loud room and trying to think i cant hear that.

  5. of course u can. basiccaly there is three types of people. the 1st one is audio peope. this type of people they can understand by hearing usually a singer. second type of people is the visual people. they love imagination. the third one is kinetic(not so sure) neway u can test it to know u belong in which type. u ask ur friends something that he/she need to think like a math q or science e.t.c.  when he/she is not paying so much attention to u. while u were askuing he the q look straight into his eyes. when u r asking the q. if his eyes move up n down then he is a visual people but if his eyes move left and right then he is an audio people

  6. yes you can... and its also like tivo, you can playback things in your head. I was listening to alicia keys... but i know it wasnt my voice, because i cant hit the high notes. but i think you can. like, i hear myself think while im thinking about what to put here. there.

  9. Dear, if you are hearing voices in your head that are not your own, then you should go to a doctor for a checkup, as it might be an illness called schizophrenia . I know because my sister has got it. Dont be sad though, it can be controlled with medication. It is important to go to a doctor if you are hearing voices that are not your own, as it will get worse without the proper medication. Don't be embarrassed to go to the doctor, doctors see it all the time and they want to help you.  If you want more information about it, just do a google search and lots of info about it will come up. Have a nice day dear

  10. If by "hear" you mean does your brain make noise when it is working...  The neurons do not make any noise when they send or receive electrical signals or when they produce neurotransmitter chemicals.  There is some sound from the flow of blood (blood flow in your inner ear is what you hear when you hear "the sea" in a seashell) but, hopefully, blood is flowing all the time, not just when you are thinking.

Electrically, brain activity can be "heard" or at least measured using electrical sensors (research brain waves, alpha waves, EEG, etc).  Chemical activity in the brain can be measured using other sophisticated technology like MRI and CAT scan with tracer compounds.

So...  answer is no, you can not hear (with your ears) thinking because thinking does not create any sound.

  11. dee de de

  12. does seem like that sometimes. the trick is not to let other people hear you think.
