  1. No, love can not be known but it can only be experienced, vividly, concretely.

Knowing we have made a 'wordy' and 'worldly' affair that always dissect and divide reality, it can not comprehend reality holistically, fully as they are. True love is holistic, whole and full, beyond and much more than what the logic, words and thoughts - the stuff with which knowing is made of. Close such mind, love blooms in all its grace and glory!

Experiential knowledge is far, far superior to non-experiential, merely wordy/thought based  knowledge.

  2. Yes I think it is possible to know love.

It is at this point in my life that I feel I truly know love...and what a feeling!

I'd have to say that it is my soul that knows love. I do not feel love in the mind and I don't associate love in the mind but in my core.

I believe that when a soul knows love, it cannot know hate.

  3. I second Thimmappa M.S....it IS what we are, thus the admonition to "know" thyself (Who am I?).  When all external knowing is stripped, what remains is Love.  The intellect/mind can only take us so far, and then we must leap into the Unknown/Unknowable where we find ourSelf.  The Search Party is over when we merge with Source in full recognition/realization and agreement/congruency, stepping into the eternally flowing movement of the Divine without separation consciousness.  What knows Love is Love knowing ItSelf...Self Consciousness.

  4. The soul knows love. The personality delivers love. The mind chooses love.

  5. It is the heart that feels love.

  6. Yes! "Love" is an abstract word that defines an emotion, which the mind becomes familiar to.

We know how sadness and happiness feels, the mind is taught these feelings as a human being matures--so we become familiar. But love varies from cultures. Most of us believe that feeling "love" is a feeling of happiness that can only be given to or from someone we care about. So the mind associates love with caring, and caring is something we learn to do. How we express our love differs from person to person.
