Is it possible to reach the core of the earth?

No, the amount of pressure is too great for anyone or anything to go to the core of the earth. And the temperature is so hot you would burn as soon as you hit the mantle, and the core is 4 layers beneath the mantle and each layer gets hotter and hotter.

The only way you could would be to invent a machine that can with stand an enormous amount of pressure and can resist 100,000 degrees Celsius!

you are some funny people, weather or not we can reach the core, No way in h**l, First of all we are talking of thosands of miles, and the machines we have now can only go a few thousands miles down, then the  melt away due to the heat, NO WAY IN h**l

Sure, why not? The core of the Earth is a location in real space, so it's definitely reachable.

Now, can we get there with current technology? No, probably not.

First, there is no reason to go there. The earth's core is the last place man should dump his banality. Secondly, it is, okay I'll stick my neck out, impossible to reach the core with man or machine. But, after having watched "The Core" two times, it makes for a brilliant movie. The only thing I remember, though, from that movie is how each one of those hapless people dies.

I would think it's possible, just not with current tech, at this time, we can't even get through the crust, much less into the mantle and core.  In the real world, the core is a SOLID hunk of nickel/iron, not a hollow ball with jungles and dinosaurs so there would be virtually no good reason to go there anyway.

probably not since the core is very very very hot.. hot enought to melt anything. the very inside is like liquid hot lava except hotter! we can get there but we can't. see what im saying?

The heat and pressure would destroy anything we currently have.
