Is it possible to record something on TV with a blank DVD and a DVD player?

yes just make sure its a    DVD-R and not a music cd

you have to have a dvd recorder. most dvd players have that now.

in a normal dvd player, no

in a dvd recorder, yes.

it is just as if you are recording on a video cassette. the dvd recorder will just save everything as video first, then burn it onto the dvd as data.

If your DVD player has a recording feature, then yes

If it doesn't, then you can't.

If you want it to record, then go buy a DVD Recorder at your local wal-mart, kmart, best buy, circuit city, costco, BJ's...
