Is it possible to record videos I watch on my monitor?

For instance, if I'm watching a video on youtube that I'd like to record so I can burn it to a disc later.

Is there such software?

well it all depends on if the video is copy protected you will not be able to  but if it is not copy protected download real player and when real player is downloaded go back to you tube and back to the video hover your mouse over the video and then up above the video it will say download this video and click on that then when it is downloaded you will be able to watch it on real player and then put it onto a disk
