  1. Simply erasing all the data on your hard drive and formatting it is not enough security. You can spend hours going through your hard drive and deleting all the files and documents you want, but using the delete key on your keyboard in Windows basically only removes the shortcuts to the files making them invisible to users. Deleted files still reside on the hard drive and a quick Google search will show many options for system recovery software will allow anyone to reinstate that data.

Try this link to download the required software to get your data back

    but this will cost you.

  2. Part A:  It is possible, but difficult in the the extreme.  Residual magnetic 'memory' will stay on the disk, but retrieving it takes very delicate methods and equipment (the FBI & CIA are examples of forensic recovery for 'must have' data on criminal's hard drives.)  That's why it's important to overwrite a hard drive 5X when de-activating a computer; that re-aligns those magnetic residuals over and over, making data unreadable & beyond recovery for anyone.

Part B: Unless you specifically have your settings (on the mail server) to save a copy for X number of days, when you delete a mail, it will be lost.

There is a chance your server (ISP) has a copy, and if important, check with them.
