  1. Yes it is very possible to recycle plastic bags! Or there are plenty of ways to reuse them in your home! For example, you could use it for garbage bags, you could put storage stuff in it, you could bring them back to the grocery store and re-use them there, so many possiblities, but yes, it is a wonderful idea to recycle plastic bags!

  2. You can't actually put plastic bags in a recycling bin and have that recycled like cardboard. However, you can re-use plastic bags, and count that as recycling other wise no you can't.

  3. I know that you should tie your bags in a knot when you throw them away but i don't think you can recycle them. Your local dump should have a recycling station.

  4. Sometimes you can recycle plastic bags at grocery stores.  Check there.

  5. contact your municipal office for what is and is not acceptable in your local recycling program, check out the front of your grocery store many have boxes that you can deposit plastic bags into, but hey why not just take your old bags with you when you shop and reuse them or even better get a cloth grocery bag and refuse the plastic ones and safe the environment,in fact many stores with give you credits or cash back if you don't take a new bag or carry a cloth one with you

  6. Check with your grocery stores to see if they accept plastic bags.  A lot of them are starting to.  Some schools are taking them also, as a fundraiser.

  7. i bring mine to the local wal*mart. i also reuse them to contain my recyclables. try looking at the wal*mart web sight and see if the local store supports plastic bag recycling.

  8. The only way that u can recycle is by taking them to some specified supermarkets.  Otherwise there is no other place that I know that you can recycle them.  I recycle mine, I use them for normal garbage bags.  Yes I know that they are not good for the environment but if they are going to ban these bags well what is going to happen to the normal garbage bags that you use for your bin, r they going to ban those as well.

  9. If you are referring to the grocery store type - absolutely - most major grocery stores have free collection bins at the entry to collect clean grocery (t-shirt) bags and they don't have to be from the sponsoring store so even if you go the bags at anther shop you can recycle them there. Also many dry cleaners offer free recycling bins for clear plastic like the type they use in covering your dry cleaning (BTW that is a un-needed item and you can always decline the plastic bag - go even 1 better and use your airline travel bag to pick up dry cleaning). Good Luck!
