I am thinking along the lines of ducting waste heating gases onto the roof area, then by using a turf roof or houseleeks (plants) with a perforated transparent covering over them, they would absorb the co2. The resulting gasses from the "system" would therefore contain less co2 than normal. Even if these are on trays that are changed/composted frequently it should have an effect.
