Is it possible to refill a glass snowball from the 40's. It has sentimental value?

It looks like it might have an onyx base with a thick ball. Any way of restoring it for my father. It's a dear keepsake for him from my mother who passed 2/7/08

yes ,,,,if its the solid glass ,getting the hole in is hardest job ,Getting water back in is not so hard once hole is established ,,new glitter is sold at all  $ stores and most craft shops ,,,,,good luck,,,,
