  1. Yes, but it could be a bit tricky.

First off, you need to connect your iPod to your iTunes. Then, select the "MUSIC" library from YOUR iPOD - not iTunes. You can look for the songs you don't want here and right-click/delete the songs you don't want.

HOWEVER, if you have your iPod set to Auto-Sync, you need to UNCHECK theses songs from your iTunes library. Otherwise, iTunes will automatically update the songs back into your iPod.

The easiest way to filter songs you want and don't want in your iPod is to select the songs manually. I find this specifically helpful if I want to connect to another computer - I can move my iPod from computer to computer without worrying that my library will be deleted and replaced.

    To do this:

    (1) Connect the iPod into your computer.

    (2) Click on your iPod, once it shows up.

    (3) Click on "Manually Manage Music and Videos"

A message will pop up telling you that you'll have to eject the iPod manually - click "yes" or "okay". This means that you'll have to hit the "Eject" button before removing yout iPod from the computer.

That's it. Now, all you have to do is click-and-drag the songs that you want onto your iPod. The songs you don't want on your iPod don't get into your iPod.

    Hope I helped!

  2. Yes it is.  Here's how I do it:  I have playlists built on iTunes where I organize all my songs by genre (rock, classical, jazz, country, etc.).  Sometimes I goof up and put songs in the wrong genre or have duplicates.  When I find them, I simply delete them from my playlists and then hook up my 80GB iPod classic.  When the iPod syncs with my computer, the unwanted songs are removed.

  3. Yes MD  correct but if you share your itunes with other ipods make sure to erae it from your list only and not the music list becase it might erase from their list

  4. Either delete them from your iTunes or set it to only sync checked songs and then uncheck the ones you don't want to sync.

  5. Just right click on the song you want to delete and click delete

you can also click on the song once and press the "delete" key on the keyboard

  6. "MD" is correct.
