I would like to be able to listen and control my ipod via my factory radio/6-disc CD changer. I have done the research and the only good options seem to be for the EX 6-disc CD changer. Is it possible to upgrade?

  1. Okay, this has been done before. You need to get the same year as your car. the climate controls need to look similar for this to work. Not saying I personally did it, but I have heard and seen it done. Be careful everything is electronic, so eveything should just plug into each other. Honda wont change the harnesses from vehicle to vehicle unless it is a major upgrade. I feel confident that you will be just fine. they make dash kits that replace the radio and climate controls, and they are not specific to the series model of the car (ex, dx). So give it a try and be careful!

  2. As long as it is the same size in the dash it will definitely fit, I'm not real familiar with Honda stereo's but if they are smart, it should just be a direct plug and play sort of thing, at most you may have to buy a separate harness(like $6 from almost anywhere) and wire it together....but for how much you will spend at a Honda dealer for an OEM replacement, you would be better off going to http://www.crutchfield.com and buying a better deck for less money, for something there you will def. need a harness, but if you are not color blind, and are able to take your stereo out, you can wire it up yourself.

    Just my opinion
