Is it possible to report abusive messages received on PS3?

Question

I was at a friends yesterday playing some online games with him and his little boy...someone sad little chav sent him a message full of expletives and insults to his mother (who isnt around anymore) , which made his little boy cry and he wouldnt play the playstation again. Is there a way to report this, does anyone know? He has kept the instant message that was sent to him, I promised him I would pick all of your brains on this today...sensible answers please...and thanks in advance

obviously report the obnoxious child you don't need to take that rubbish and if you report him he will shut up for a while

Dunno about reporting them but I would check via your ps3 instruction manual - go online with your ps3's browser and check the terms, faq's etc.

In the meantime I would block this person from your ps3 [top of the list on the far right options]

Contact the PSN website, as sony would probably have a policy. I am sure they are able to block abusive users of PSN. Also, let us all know his ID so we can block him ourselves as well.
