Is it possible to rip an entire movie (that you own) in iTunes and sync it to your video iPod ?

I have every season of "The L Word" on DVD and i'd hate to have to buy each season again on itunes. Is it possible to convert the DVDs into MP4 format legally?

  1. you need third party software to convertdvd to MP4, I always use Aimersoft iPod Converter Suite, it can easily convert dvd video to ipod with high quality, that's really good, you can check it out here for free:

    Then just follow below steps to add movie on ipod

    1. Open iTunes and click "File" to add your videos to iTunes library.

    2.Then plug in your iPod to computer, iTunes will detect your iPod as a device. select your iPod device on the left panel of iTunes, click "Movies" tab, check the videos you want to sync and click "Apply", done.

  3. iPod can only support mpeg4 video.     iPod accepts only MP4 videos,you need a professional third party software to rip ur DVDs to MP4 videos.

  6. Yes. You will need a DVD ripping program, and depending on the format you rip the DVD to you may need a program to convert the video to quicktime (the only kind of video that itunes will recognize).

    Try http://handbrake.fr/ for your ripper, it works well enough. Once ripped and in the quicktime format, just add it to your library and sync away
