Is it possible to search audio files with notation

Question

It appears all search engines are geared to search for texts only. Is it possible to locate songs or music with notations alone? Or is it possible similarly to search for a photo or a movie by presenting a piece of them to search engines?

It's certainly possible to a degree.  You couldn't do exact matching like text, but you could get something like a 92% probable match.  But this isn't practical and won't be for a few years.
