I'm trying to find out when i got pregnant, I had an early internal scan done at 7 1/2 weeks from my last lmp, which showed a heartbeat, fetal pole...My last lmp was on the 12/3/08 and I'm trying to figure out if i got pregnant from the 25/03/08 or the 5/4/08?? 5/4/08 is 4 days before my period was due, I done a pregnancy test a day before I was due on and it showed positive, would a pregnancy test even show positive this early 5 days after conception?? Sorry I know this is confussing but if anyone understands what I'm going on about any info would be great. Thanks! x

  1. Through a vaginal ultrasound they will be able to tell from 6 or 8 weeks.

  2. A pregnancy test would never show positive 5 days after conception - even blood tests cannot detect the hormone until 7-9 days at the earliest.

And no, they cannot visualize the heart beating until at least 6 weeks on average (after LMP - they don't go by conception dates).

  3. when i went to the doctor he said that i wasn't pregnant unless i concieved in the last four days.  *which i did*  the ones from the store actually show a positive after implantation occurs, with is usually longer than that... 6-12 days after ovulation *most on days 8-10.*  hope it helps :) and congratulations!!!

  4. Did they not do a dating scan when they did the ultrasound to tell you when your due date was, and how far along you were? I would say that you most likely conceived around the 25th. Conception date really isn't that important unless you are worried about who could be the father. All the dating is based on your LMP.

  5. They couldn't even find a sack at 4 weeks, let alone anything else. My OB found a heartbeat at 6 weeks :)
