Is it possible to send cards or letters etc. to Iran with getting it trouble with homeland security?

i have a friend liveing tehran iran, i would like to send a card or letter or maybe $20.00 is it possible from USA?

  1. Why not email them?

    Sending letters anywhere is legal.


  2. Yes, you should be able to send your letter and the money with no problem, assuming the letter doesn't read "Use this $20.00 to buy material for bombs!!!". Also, make the money a cheque, because it's just safer in general.

  3. What is a soldier going to do with dollars?  Send an international money order available at banks or the post office.  For sending it, look into the Dear Abby column--she's got some sort of letter writing thing for the troops.
