About the only two groups are male and female. Everything else has many subgroups.

People are always being bifurcated:

1. The haves and the have nots.

2. Either the hammer or the nail.

3. Either leaders or followers.

4. You're either for me or against me.

5. Friend or Foe?

Yes - "Us" and "Them"...

This one works no matter HOW you choose to divide people up - race, gender, religion, age, hair colour...

YOU (and those who share whatever trait you are comparing by) fall into the "Us" group - and those who don't are "Them" ;);););)
