Is it possible to share calender with someone who has a non-yahoo e-mail address?

Im trying to share my yahoo calender with my wife who has an aol account. I was able to share my google calender similarly, but seem unable to the same with yahoo since its keeps asking me for my friends yahoo id. It just does not make sense for me to make her a yahoo account just so she can view my calender. any ideas?
