Is it possible to slow your metabolism?

I do water polo and swiming/diving, and im also on the wrestleing team, and i have to be a certain weight for swiming and then four or five months later, be 30 lbs more. i have to do this for four more years of high school too! any ideas on how i can loose and gain so much weight in so little time and still be healthy?

I don't understand why you would want to gain weight from your swim weight ,for wresteling? can't you just be in a lower weight class ?or wrestle out of it? most diet for a lower wht. class. if you are a lean piece of working muscle now, you must lose muscle.quit thinking( active brains burns alot of

    calories),or turn 40. I'm very shure there is no heathy way to do this gain loss cycle,as I'm sure you've been told  many times by people who care more about you than you do.but you're still doing it, so just look up how to increase metabolism,then refrain from those triggers(green tea, ginsing,caffine,cinnamon,red bull ect.) use your brain and body as little as possible, starve your self during the day , no breakfast or lunch during the day(so your body will store as fat which burns no cal.s).then gorge yourself w/massive amounts of fat&calories,fast foods(seen supersize me?)Melted ben&jerry's ice cream,exteamly concetrated /processed foods pizza,pasta, white flour&side pork,beef tallow& animal lard ect. all while watching mind numbing tv on sofa I suggest mister rodgers or test patterns,then sleep alone&repeat as needed,also no fiber before heavy weigh in so you'll be full of it.caution will cause high cholesteral&blood suger,brain&muscle atrophy,acid reflux,increase in #of fat cells (which can only be shrunk or sucked out never lost) ,&bulimia/anorexia or both(my bet). just use all good  health diets backwards.OR you could show your school how stupid,unhealthy&probably lethal their present standards are,show schools law suit liabilites& research former athletes w/smilar wht. req.s life span&present health status& early death rates(for future class actction lawsuits) then point out the fact that if you can compete against these different sized athletes then it is only their unhealthy rules that need change not your healthy body.change the system do the next person a favor,these demands are insane!!!! change their system not yours. revolt don't confom to a faulty model.start a petition drive, threaten to sue their pants off, talk to health,psych& law  students,proffesors,parents&coaches i'll bet they all agree w/me,this insane demand demands change. who better than you to do it? that would be a feat to be proud of,can't beat that W/roids unlike any time/record  you can set in sports.you must make change it doesn't just happen. aren't sports to teach you strive for positive improvement through hard work and persistance? it can't be just trophies,they sell those cheap you know.  maybee it's just ticket and ad sales now,any real spirit left?  Good luck  from seen it too often & thought they already fixed it.(like catchers masks&leather football helmets ect.) they needed change too! only 4 more years? what about collage? you could end up w/ a scholarship or somthing don't limit yourself.


  2. To gain weight, you have to starve yourself for about a week on a low-calorie diet, and then eat normally and work out. You will gain weight like crazy.

    To lose weight, eat a *moderately high* calorie diet and work-out a lot.

  3. dont eat as much for a month or two then eat a ton

    you'll gain weight
