I would prefer to stay with a program that's easy to use; From everything I've heard, Windows Vista just sounds too complicated to have to deal with.

  1. It is possible if you make a request to the company that you are buying the computer from. They would give it to you. Customers are always right! Haha.

  2. Dell still offers some of their line up with the XP option (but you have to pay a little extra for it).  Basically it somes with Vista but they provide a "down grade" to XP for a fee (I think it was something like $75 extra)

  3. What you're hearing about Vista is mostly coming from people who have a hard time dealing with change.

I have XP on my custom, I have Vista on my laptop, Vista is almost identical to XP, the only difference is that the options are more in-depth than in XP, but it's certainly not more complicated to use, it's the same setup.

Now that Vista has Service Pack 1 out, most of the initial issues with it have been resolved.  I've been using it exclusively for 3 weeks now and I think it's much better than XP.

And no, you won't find new computers with XP, in fact it's highly likely that older machines with XP are being sabatoged via updates in order to force people to move forward.
