Is it possible to stroke a 318 v8 into a 360 v8?

its cheaper to get the 360 you don't have enough bore on a 318 to do any good,the 360 can easily be built up real nicely,a 318 is one of the best engines there is,but they have their limitations to them,the 360 is the better engine for building,you can easily get 365 horses from one of those without going broke on it,good luck.

all a 360 really is, is a 318 over-bored .030, just like a 383 chevy is a 350 with an over-bore of .030. typically napa or any performance shop can drill it out for ya.

Not quite enough information. What year is the engine? The upscale to the 318 was the 340. If you have a later 5.2 magnum intake and exhaust will help you a lot. If you have an early engine you may want to do a full engine swap. Or you can buy new heads (assuming the bottom half is is good working order) and add a new intake and headers. Speed and power are all a matter of money. How much do you have?
