Is it possible to switch a t-mobile or qwest phone to be able to use it on at&t?

My birthday is coming up and i noticed all the good phones are for t-mobile, like the sidekick or qwest, like the katana but my family has at&t, so i want a sidekick or a katana because i like those phones, but at&t has really bad phones. Is this possible?

good phone... t(rash) mobile... HA the only thing that t mobile has going for them is the sidekick... and you can put that on at&t... you would have to buy it outright though... online... and make sure that its unlcoked... so it would run you bout 500 give or take.

You can do so with T-Mobile phones, but you cannot do so with Qwest, since qwest uses CDMA and ATT uses GSM (which T-Mobile does too)
