I guess i would also like to know how to (or if its possible) store a DVD that i play on my Windows vista PC and keep it on my computer without the disc being in the drive. OR, is it possible to transfer a downloaded DVD off of limewire and sync it to my zune?

as you can probably see i dont really feel like paying for a zune pass to buy a movie off of the marketplace THAT I ALREADY OWN.

  1. Zune only supports mp4, wmv, I use cucusoft zune convertr suite to convert dvd and free video to zune video formats with high quality. You can download this software free from here

Some other useful information you can get on the official site:

    http://www.zune.net

  2. Of course you can keep a DVD on your computer. Open your DvD in windows media player or whatever then go to File> Save as... then save the movie on your computer. Then from there you can import it into Zune and sync it...

  3. Do you wanna convert DVD movie to your Zune?

If so, take a look at this step by step tutorial.

  4. You CANNOT just save the DVD to your computer and then sync it to your Zune. Zune does not support those file types. You have to put the DVD in the cd tray and convert it to wmv with a resolution no larger then 320x240. I suggest wmv because Zune will almost always convert mepg-4 files.

Then save it to a folder you have Zune monitoring for videos. The Zune program will find the converted file in the monitored folder and add it to the collection then you sync your Zune.

The same goes for any video you get off the internet legal or illegal.
