Is it possible to take a clip from a DVD and put it on youtube?

I have a Macbook - and I was wondering if there were any programs that would allow me to take like a 30 second clip from a DVD (like a normal movie dvd) and put it on youtube? I know most DVDs are made so they cant be copied, but I also know there are programs that override that.

ummm possibly if u have a certain program on ur computer where u can save the dvd on ur comp...usually u cant tho...but there are some clips of shows on google that u can save and then put them on youtube but there are only certain ones that let u save them to ur comp

yes I think the program is called winfast dvd may have to look it upp on wiki though
