Taking Calculus I for the summer and I'm going on vacation the week of the final? Do I need a miracle?

  1. you will have to beg the dean and maybe come up with a better reason then vacation


  2. No, you simply need to tell your professor that you can't take the exam at the scheduled time. If there is a provision in the syllabus that states you can't take it at any other time, explain that you understand that, but you have an important event coming up (Job interview,, etc... make sure it's important, not just a vacation) Then give him 2 or 3 times that you would like to take the exam. Don't ASK, TELL him you won't be able to take it at that time. Then ask what times to take it are good for him. STAY CONFIDENT and hold your ground, it works! It's not a question of CAN you take it early, it's a question of when you WILL take it early.
