I have recently just bought bonfire arc pants. I love them, the waist fits perfectly.. but the legs are slighty too wide and look a little silly.

If i get next size down the leg fits perfectly but waist is too small.

Is it possible to take in at the inner seam to make them slightly narrower?

I love the pants so i dont want to change to a different pair.

Any answers appriciated.

  1. no you cant

  2. YES YOU CAN! I did this myself to make a pair of tight snowpants. Just make sure you cut the outer layer and dont cut through the whole pant.

Snowpants (especially a brand like Bonfire) are made baggy on purpose, other pants are made tight on purpose. Thats the look; either Baggy or Tight. Everything in between is what old skiers wear. If you do decide to sew em' up, just make sure you leave enough room to fit the pants over your boots!

  3. yes its possible

  4. It's possible, but I wouldn't. If the pants are too tight, then it would be a little harder to jib. Also, tight snowboarding pants look silly :)

  5. Turn them inside-out, use nylon thread and sew the inside seam 1/2 inch in, starting from the bottom of the leg up, following the stitching of the contour of the crotch down the inside of the other leg, getting the desired look without them feeling or looking too tight.

    (don't cut the pants)

  6. yeah, definitely!

  7. i donno man. the thing with taking them in is you might lose some of the waterproofing and whats worse then cruising down the mountain and shredding with wet pants. i would recommend that you don't take them in, because if the fit around the waist and boots is perfect then just leave em be. i wear baggy jacket and pants and so do all the other snowboarders of mt. bachelor. they look sick baggy and if its super chilled outside slap on an extra layer to stay warmer. I looked at these pants they are supposed to be baggy. if you don't want baggy and start looking at new pants i strongly recommend sessions.

bottomline: leave em be. they look sick baggy.
