I am starting college full time majoring in Entrepreneurship. I am also a part time real estate agent and I have a part time job. Next month, I will also have to factor in responsibilities at my son's school and his soccer practice twice per week. My husband will be working full time, so mainly everything is on me. His job has him working from 8am until 6-7pm monday thru friday. Also, in January, he will be leaving for 3 months to go to bootcamp to become a Corrections Officer. I am taking my college courses online this semester. I am worried about getting overworked and am considering putting my real estate license into referral status for now. Could I be making the right decision?

  1. I think putting something on hold is a good idea. Of course it's possible to take on too much -- most adults today probably do. With two part-time jobs, plus school full-time, a child and household responsibilities, that is probably waaay too much!

My general rule of thumb is that most people can juggle 3 things at a time, maximum. Your son and household responsibilities are two. I would pick the one additional thing that you want to complete the most. You will probably find that you actually accomplish more, when you do fewer things at once.
