  1. Yes, it is possible.

    There are several ways to do it.

    One way would be to play the DVD in your PC (assuming you have a DVD player), and set the sound recorder to "record what you hear", then get some CD burning software and burn the CD.

    Another way would be to get CD ripper software that also rips DVD audio and rip the audio tracks, then use the CD burning software to burn the CD.  Both softwares might even come bundled together.

    There are share-ware and 'free'-ware versions of all of this out on free download sites.  Google search for "CD ripper" "CD burner" "shareware", and there will be lots of hits.
