I feel like he's bored and he refuses to learn how to play poker. I'm trying to think of something that can entertain him.

  1. you should buy a leash and take it for walks

  2. She could get a job and support her kibble habit.

  3. no.

letting mice loose in the house would entertain him.

  4. It depends on your cat... no really I trained Max to sit for his food and his treats. He was a big softie and loved the attention. But Joey is another story he doesn't want to HAVE to do anything. He has learned and I am not joking that when the he hears the train whistle outside if he runs to the porch he can watch the train go by down the hill. It is hilarious!

When Max passed away Joey seemed bored so we got a puppy, sounds weird but he loves her. She is about a year and a half now and the two run all through the house and have a great time! She is a poodle and Schnauzer mix so she is about his size. He also loves to watch the hamsters, it is like TV for him. He doesn't try to get at the cage just sits and watches them for hours.

  5. I could teach your kitty a few things.

  6. Shoot mine counter surf, destroy toilet paper and paper towels,  think my legs must be to climb, attack me in my sleep, so my question is how did you train them to just sleep and p**p?

  7. A few things that my cat plays with:

    - Plays fetch with a small piece of string in a ball

    - Play chase around the house or hide and seek around doors and in the kitchen

    - She has a cosy kitty climber that she loves to jump around in

    - She loves me helping her climb he closet

    - She plays with ping pong balls all the time

    - We chat I just talk to her and she meows back (its really cute)

    - When I am not busy I have started showing her videos of cats meowing or playing on you tube (she loves that!)

    - Brushing she adores

    - I sometimes take her outside (she is an indoor)

    Hope that helps.

  8. They can cry

  9. Would it be possible for you to learn to stay off the computer??

  10. Of course cats can learn tricks! and they do not sleep and p**p all day. But anyways i taught my kitty how to climb a ladder to my bunk bed, i also taught him to give me kisses, i also taught him to show me where his toys are (because they get lost under the sofa, stove and other areas). Both of my cats know words or phrases to control their behavior, and my other cat knows how to stand on her hind legs. All you have to do is make it fun and rewarding for your cat and they will learn tricks, but it takes some patience. Also you should actually buy some cat toys that they like to keep them entertained. My cats like catnip toys and laser pens. :)

  11. Mine eats, sleeps, poops AND pukes.

It's ok, most times the dog cleans it up for me.  She cleans the litter box too if I don't clean it right away.

  12. How many times must I say "evil army of the night" before you get it? Sheesh.

Oh, and mine are like ancient kings' food tasters. They love me so much that they eat everything I make before I can.

  13. LOL

Yeah, it's okay. My husband apparently doesn't want the FISH getting BORED or so he says.  You could do what he does, and pokes at them until they bite his fingers.  So where as he cannot play "poker" with them, he plays "poke-her.... fish." I think it actually just keeps him from being bored. That, and he constantly rearranges the aquarium so that they get confused.

So uh, yeah, just poke her a lot and rearrange the house.  That'll keep her busy!

  14. catnip. it gets my cat high and she rips around the house all playfull and happy

  15. <-----I resemble that remark. It is my job as a cat to sleep a minimum of 18 hours/day and to rearrange my litter ad lib.

  16. all this talk of kitties and elvis has made me horny...

    two words:  fish tanks

  17. i trained my cat to sit. some cats can be trained to fetch too. get a toy on a string and play with him. usually it's the movement that entertains them

  18. Yes and no. I think it depends on the amount of time you spend with your cat. If you expect him to entertain you with no stimulus then he'll probably just sit all day thinking "geez, let me out to get my freak on at least". :)

My cats are trained to sit for food and to rollover to get a belly rub. I can tap a surface in my house and they will jump on it so I don't have to bend down to pet them. I have plenty of toys around the house for them to play with and it doesn't take much. They like brown paper bags (free from grocery store) and shoe boxes. You can also ball up some aluminum foil for him to kick around.

  19. hmmmm ... maybe your need to bring in a Big Dog to get the Cats focus.

I know some Junk Yarders that are free tonite.

  20. I wish I could help you.  My cat gets bored and goes and sits on the toilet or takes a nap in the shower.  I've accidentally shut him in the back of my apartment, and I hear him cry because he is done with nap time.

Sorry that my story doesnt pertain to your question, but you know I cant pass up an opportunity to talk about my lil babby cat.

  21. all it takes is ALOT of patience !!!!!!!!!!!!!   teach him to walk on a leash and then you can take a walk together.

  22. Try buying a toy mouse, and attaching a string to it, then attaching the other empty end f the string to a stick. Then wave the stick around, which makes the mouse move around by the string, and the cat will chase it.

  23. haha since trying to teach him poker would be cool if he could do that but try and buy him some new toys and throw them around for him and my cats love flashlights hope i could help

  25. Wow..............you can buy pet videos to put on the tv for them, heck get some toys....there are so many things you can do, but most importantly cats are not just there to sleep and p**p, they need love and affection just like humans....When babies are born think about it, if they aren't nurtured or touched, they will die........You have to spend time playing with him/her.....or your cat will be depressed.......There is no reason anyone should have an animal if you can take care of it properly and that goes with spending time with the cat. Good luck.....Poker?????what the h**l...

  26. One of my cats actually plays fetch like a dog...when she wants to play she brings her toy and drops in next to me. I throw it, and she gets it and brings it back...

  27. Yes.  You must have gotten a broken one.

    I taught mine to beg.
