Is it possible to teach english in Japan, with no degree? I have a TESOL Cert, and teaching experience.?

  2. It's not possible.

    The major, and pretty much only, requirement is to have a 4 year degree. The Japanese government will not issue you a visa if you don't have a degree.

  3. try to get a job on base at camp foster, in okinawa. they pay better and give you a condo to stay.  

  4. If you have the certificate and teaching experience you can teach in Japan but chances of landing a full time teaching position in a school will be slim because most of the places that will hire you at first will be the after-school schools called 'juku' and those are usually part time positions.  You will be able to bring your wife but probably on a normal visa...most places ask you to be in Japan already but there are websites you can look at for this information....some will give you housing and transportation money...the apartment they give you will be very small too....look up the companies and pick what is best for you...there are many to choose from...
