  1. What symptoms is she reporting to you?

She would only be able to know if she went to a psychiatrist and had a formal evaluation..

That should give you some idea of the symptoms

  2. well, first of all she should definately see a psychiatrist. bipolar disorder is a brain disorder that causes unusual shifts in a person’s mood, energy, and ability to function..you have severe ups and downs moodswings. There is a depressive stage and you get a lost of interest in things you were once interested in, constantly tired or drained, loss of appetite, decreased energy, sadness, etc. And there is a manic stage and with this stage you usually have racing thoughts, you feel an extreme high like you are on top of the world and nothing can hurt you, aggressive behavior, sudden outbursts of anger, insomnia, racing thoughts and extreme irritability..and some people will go on shopping sprees even if they dont have the money for it. SOME people, not all will experience hallucinations each stage could last a few days, a few weeks or even months..and in some people they will experience both the depression and the mania at the same time. hope this helped!
