Is it possible to text sumbody in another country?

will i be charged extra? will they be charged? will the msg be sent? will she recieve the msg when she gets back or while shes there?

i wanna do this so i can see if sum1 is really in another country like they say they are. ( i KNOW they have their phone b/c she texted me while she was 'on the plane')

this girl is known for being very mysterious and making others jealous and the sort.

im in Virginia shes 'gone' to austria.

If your point is to check if your friend is in another country, its going to be really hard to do.

But to answer your question. You can text someone in another country if you have their cell phone number.

Now, if your texting someone with a US phone number, you will be charged the domestic rate or if you have the texting plan then you will not be charged for it, irrespective of the person being in US or outside US. If the other person is out of the country, then he/she will get charged for receiving that text in the outside country though if the cell phone network in that country supports text messaging. If they don't, your friend will receive the text only once he/she gets back into the US.

Yes, you can text anyone from anywhere in the world as long as you have their cell number. But, if you call them that is notified as a "long distance call" which you will be charged for. So, text all you want! Except, if you don't have unlimited texting then don't text too much.
