Is it possible to trade pokemon from Ruby version to Diamond or pearl?

yeah u have to migrate to migrate insert ur ruby version into the GBA slot of ur DS and play diamond at the start menu (where it says new game, continue) it should say migrate from ruby (if you have complete the Sinoh pokedex) after it says to choose 6 pokemon to migrate after u have chosen go to the pal park (route 221) and u must recapture them (really easy) but be warned u cannot trade them back to the ruby version

surf from sandgem town to where pal park is

go in the building

start the game

viola! you have blaziken swampert or sceptile

Well, first you need to beat the elite four.  Then, you need to get the national dex from Professor Oak (I think).  There will be a place to go to called the Pal Park on route 221 I think it was, where you can catch pokemon that you brought to diamond and pearl from any pokemon GBA game (migrating).  So once you've beat the elite four and got the national dex, when you go into your main menu and you have a pokemon game in the GBA slot, there will be an option to migrate from the GBA game.  You can choose six pokemon at a time but they can't know HM's. =\ Then you go to the pal park and re-catch those six pokemon.

You can just insert the Ruby version catridge into the DS. You have to learn surf to get to palpark to transfer your pokemon. You can only transfer 6 pokemon per day.

yes you can if you have a game boy and it has all your pokemon and stuff and then trade it to a ds but if you only have a ds you cant do it and  the game   boy has to be where you originally started
