  1. Simplest thing to do is buy a VCR/DVD recorder combo.

Put the small VHS-C tape into a VHS tape adapter. Put into the VCR. Put DVD-R disc into DVD recorder side. Push Record for DVD recorder. Push Play for VCR.

You can mess around with using your laptop, of course. That's if you like doing things the hard way.

  2. Many people that used VHS-C did so at the slp or slow speed. If that is your case then the tapes are unlikely to play satisfactory in a different VCR, so i would recommend against getting the Combo DVD recorder.  However, you can run the AV outs from the camcorder directly to a DVD recorder and avoid the computer if you want.

  3. You need an analog converter, either internal card or external such as the dazzle. It's very easy to use and come with good software. You would hook your analog VHS camera to the analog converter, the dazzle and then hook the dazzle to your PC. The dazzle cost around 70.00 , but worth the money if you have a lot of VHS to tapes to convert.
