Is it possible to travel out of the U.S.A. on plane just with your passport receipt?

  1. No.  Your receipt doesn't show you are a US citizen.  You have to have your actual passport.

  3. Probably so.  The hard part will be getting back in the USA without the passport.  Better have a place to stay for awhile.

    If you're traveling within two weeks, go to your nearest Passport Agency (see link below) and they'll help you get one.

  5. NO... the law plainly says PASSPORT... it doesn't say "Receipt for your passport".
