Is it possible to turn pro even if you start playing tennis when you are 12?

I personally started playing when I was 7, but I was just wondering if there were any pros on the tour today that started playing late (11-13)?

N.O. and louier thats stupid genepri didnt play with 20+ year odls when he was 12 or 13. *rediculas* You want a good example, 2 words. DONALD YOUNG. people think ,o hes so great, hes the future... FLOP. he isnt a prodogy because his parents are what ruined him, no physicality. he might as well play futures. And when i hear this prodogies i puke. Even this stupid european boy is stupid. Aggasi wasnt a prodogy, he got nothing till he was 19, only a few publication when he was 4 or 5.

If you are ranked number 1 in your state or zone first try playing up a age group. if you still win you, enter into a tournament called a satilite( the only pro event you can enter at the begining) and if you win a match you are officially a pro because you can't play divison 1 college tennis

you should start playing tournaments (a lot), and then maybe ou could start playing in juniors.-

Yes, it is definitely possible to become a pro tennis player at twelve. Robby Ginepri started taking tennis seriously at age twelve and he has achieved success on the tour. I would just recommend having a stable training program with many different on-court drills and also have a good fitness routine along with a healthy diet. You should also play many tournaments so you can get the experience and hopefully win matches so you can get a better ranking. .......
