Question:

Is it possible to understand an asperger's temperament?

I do not know if I am an asperger myself, but I feel completely stressed when I see this man of my relatives and do not understand his looking suddenly weird and saying seemingly clever things but in fact completely out of the proper situation in which he seems to be all of a sudden FAR AWAY! I am scared by his face, and his wife usually tries to calm him down by making everyone responsible of his state of mind as if she could not act differently. I am surprised by what he says because he surely misunderstood something, but his wife reacts as if the most important was to calm him down : he would not be "dangerous", she says, but I doubt it! Only his wife seems to understand what happens at that moment. Bearing such a temperament seems to me impossible, and trying to support his wife or him would imply my understanding of that trouble. Can someone explain what happens?

  1. Sometimes it is impossible, from experience with my son, some things I do know that sets him off, but I dont understand WHY.

during a thunderstorm, if the lights go out, he freaks and keeps trying ti turn lights on, he gets very angry if something is out of place and sometimes he domt. He also seems far away a lot of times, he will recite a whole movie word for word, God forbid if you mess him up, he starts over. he will not go into a grocery store for one reason,BALLOONS, he is totally afraid of them, those metallic kind, not the normal kind that you blow up yourself.

he is only 13 years old and I am still trying to understnd him.

  2.   This is not Asperger's.

  3. He may have aspergers or not, but sounds more like one of the many associated conditions he could have..... which helps make us all so very deserve and different like everyone else...

This may help explain a little, but guess the only person who really seems to understand this individual is his wife, there lies the true answers...
