I'd like to be able to play better video games on my laptop. How can I do that? Do I just need a better video card?

  1. I've never come across a laptop with an actual card in it. They are usually shared memory and therefore there is no physical card but its actually just a chip on the motherboard.

sometimes you can go into the bios and allocate more system memory to your video chipset.

When you reboot your computer it's either f2 f7 f9 or DEL keys to get into system setup (bios) then you'll find an option for onboard video

  2. no, unless your laptop cost over 2000 dollars, most laptops have graphics card built in, so you can't remove it. the only way is to buy a new laptop

  3. Most laptops have intergrated graphics, however, hope is around the corner, Most of the new laptop designs to hit the shelfs in the next year or so will be PCI-E compatable which is seriously dope.  Unless you have a highend Laptop, (which means you prolly wouldn't need the upgrapde but hey) you are officially screwed.
