Is it possible to use 2 iPods?

Ok, I'm having a problem that is really bugging me. I have 2 iPod nanos. I got one for Xmas last year and someone got me one for my Birthday this year. The one I've had for a whole year has 2gb on it and it is full. It works fine with my iTunes and when I plug it in, I can add/delete songs etc.

My new nano is 4gb, so I would like to add music to it, however, when I plug the new one in, it wont let me do anything. It's almost like the iPod is locked or something. All of the song titles are grey instead of black and I cannot move/delete/add anything.

Funny thing is, it will still let me sync the iPod no problem, so technically I added some songs. But I can't get into the iPod to manually delete songs or add single songs. And I cannot listen to music on my PC through my new iPod (Can on the old one tho).

Here is what I've tried:

Resetting the new iPod.

Deleting all of the songs in iTunes and doing a new search for all mp3 files on my computer.

Authorizing the new iPod.

I really don't understand what is going on. Please help me.

Thanks

  1. Sorry but you can only sync ONE iPod at a time.

Heres how to add songs to your nano 4gb>>

Go to iTunes and in you iPod options...Tick the box that says "manage disk use only" or somthing...then plug your second ipod in (4gb) and click and drag the songs over to your ipod symbol on the left coloum.

    Hope that helps. =)
