  1. If there is 3 phase (3P) 220 volt power available. Then you can use it. If not, then you may have to get an inverter to use this motor in India.

  2. Your voltage is the important thing. If you have 380V 3 Phase then you can step it down with a transformer. Otherwise use a single phase inverter to drive it. 60Hz doesn't matter a lower frequency will just mean a slightly lower speed.

  3. Most likely yes.  You will just have the RPM, that you configure the motor for, proportionally reduced by 50/60 ratio.  You would get a lower max HP, lower max torque, and lower efficiency (more heat) at the same load level.

Most 3P motors divide its stator three coils into several sub-coils that can be connected into either star or delta configurations: star configuration runs at high voltage, and delta at low voltage so that either the phase-to-ground of 110V or 220V can be used.

Many 3P stators let you connect the sub-coils into 120 or 60 degrees of phase apart so that you can make the motors run at 3600 or 1800 RPM under 60Hz (or 3000 and 1500 RPMs at 50 Hz).

  4. In India it is 50 Hz supply

  5. i dnt know the wat is the frequency in India..but i think it is 50 Hz!!

    then u cant use

so ask about freq ency converter. (  from 60hz to 50 hz

and check the voltage there,,u can use voltage transformer any time .

and there will be no problem with 3 phase
