Is it possible to use Polls within Yahoo Group to ask an open-ended question?

I want users to write in the answers, not to have to list possible answers ahead of time.

this is not possible with Yahoo polls. it allows you to create a question and the creator can add up to 25 possible answers to vote on.

I don't think that's possible within the Polls feature of a Yahoo Group.  The only way I know of to do that is to just ask the question in a message to the Yahoo Group, and have people reply in their own messages; the one downside of doing it this way is that you don't get the automatic calculating of the answers and percentages that the Polls feature does.
