  1. No - your RAM is used continually by the system and is used to get information from your hard-drive on a temporary basis until the process is complete and then the file is replaced on the hard-drive.

Every time your machine is reset or switched off the RAM is erased completely and the process all starts over again.

The only thing that will get used up is your Hard-drive, if you download a lot of files or save a lot of photo's or music files on it.

Eventually, it will be full and the machine will begin to suffer in performance.

  2. EH?! What are you going on about. You must be new to computers. No it won't "go down"

  3. It wont really go down but click start run and then type prefetch.  Delete all the files in the prefetch folder and restart your computer.  You might have more available memory.  Also delete all your temporary internet files.  Thats the cause of most slowdowns

  4. RAM (random access memory) is volatile. This means that every time you power down your computer, any information on your memory will be wiped to all zeros, ready for the hard drive to load the information back onto the memory when it is switched on. So to answer your question, no it doesn't "go down".
