Please note, I do not really want to get a second wireless reciver for the first computer

  1. Most if not all wireless routers also have hardline connections so yes.

  2. Yes, this is no problem as long as the router has some Ethernet out porst on it.  I know that most linksys and NETGEAR routers have Ethernet out ports.  Just check the back of the box of the router if you buy it in a store, or the website if you are buying it online to make sure that it has some Ethernet out ports.

  3. absolutely possible.

most wireless routers (if not all of them) have ports on the back of them that you can hook up your ethernet cable to as well.  Basically your cable/dsl modem plugs into the wireless router and you can have an ethernet cord from the wirelss router to your main PC and all others can just connect using the wireless.  Some wireless routers have 3 or 4 (or more) ports on them (for more than one computer or a lan printer, etc).
