Is it possible to used same calibrated scale on the 3-V ranges as on the 300-V range of voltmeter?explain?

  1. when they are calibrating the voltmeters they are calibrating all the range selections that means when you are using a calibrated voltmeter and if the scale is suitable to measure 300 volts you can measure it. But you have to check the calibration certificate to check the fault % of the range if they are same "3 V and  300V" no problem.Ä°f not and if the measurement is so sensitive you have to calculate the fault ranges of the measurement.


  2. Your question is incomplete, use it on what? to make measurements?

    Do you mean you have a "calibrated scale" that you checked against a lab standard for one range? Calibration means checking the marks on the scale, the readings, against a reference standard. You don't make a new scale, you check the existing one for accuracy.
