  1. Tourist travel to North Korea is only possible as part of a guided tour.#  Independent travel is not permitted.#  If one is not prepared to accept limitations on their movements and behavior, they should not travel to the DPRK at the present time. On the other hand they will miss a unique cultural experience,

i ,personally would not go, my opinion only.

  2. Yes, but it is very difficult for Americans to get a visa there.  Also, you have to be escorted everywhere by approved tour guides and you must bow to statues and pictures of Kim Jong-Il everywhere you go.  Also, if you do something you're not supposed to do, your tour guide can be heavily punished.

  3. Not now, not if you are a US citizen. But I know it is possible if you are from another country. I know people from Spain and Italy and China that have gone. Also, it may be possible if you are with some kind of delegation. The NY Philharmonic is going next year.

I wish I could go before the West taints yet another country...

  4. yes, contact ur gov to find out who to contact....if u r in the us, i do not believe their is a Consolata in the us......if in Canada, contact foreign affairs

  5. why not....start digging a whole in your backyard and you'll eventually reach North Korea...hehe....

i wouldn't do...i heard they have nuclear stuff....i would however want to visit Japan.

  6. Yeah its that peace of dirt next to some other dirt over there near some trees and s%%t

  7. It is possible but you need a letter of invitation as well as a special licence from the Treasury Department to go there. Westerners are extremely restricted on where they may go and are not allowed to converse with the locals. Since the U.S has no diplomatic relations with North Korea you will be on your own.

  8. Yes, provided you are invited by a Government body.

  9. I wouldnt recommend that.

  10. Yes, but it isn't easy.

If you want to visit DPRK as an American, you need a special visa, and even then, you will need to travel to a country that flies to North Korea.

How do you get one of these?  Most of the North Korean visitors from the U.S. are artists that visit on a special artist visa, such as the recent visitors, the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.

These visits are extremely rare, however.

The other way you can visit is if you are from another country and visit under that passport.

From what I understand, if you are an American and visit Cuba or North Korea, you can be arrested for something when you return, and you have no diplomatic protection when you are there.

I suggest you do what I do and visit these countries virtually...  It is much safer and easier...
