Is it possible to watch the us tv channels in England?

One thing i miss from the state is the tv channels. Can i get them over in England via the internet or perhaps getting a differenet satellite dish?

because of licensing reasons, broadcasters cannot transmit outisde the area they are supposed to transmit to.

So if you try to watch some abc.com  shows, it will tell you that you can't watch it.

Satellite is not going to work as the sat is geostationary over the equator and beaming data to the US. in europe, you won't even see the satellite, let alone get a signal from it.

You may be able to have a friend set up orb.com or a similar service at their house so you can watch their TV channels.
