  1. It doesn't look good for you unless your opponent makes some really dumb moves.

  2. It depends on the position of the pieces on the board. If you can promote the pawn your chances will improve, though.

  3. It is possible but difficult.  It will depend on your skill and the skill of your opponent as much as anything.

  4. yes noting is imposibble

  5. try to get the pawn to the other end and get back your queen. thats first. its hard and prob inpossible but im sure it can be done.

  6. possible, but not likely

  7. It would be very hard if not impossible in that situation. I would say impossible.

  8. yes, but you have GOT to get rid of the queen first, the castle second. Keep your king in free space and close to your pawn. Most likely, this game will end in a stalemate *13 moves from declared point of challenge*

  9. I will have to set up my board and check that out.  Can't

tell by sitting here and thinking about it.  Sounds interesting.

I bought a chess set in 1954 in Wildbad, Germaniy.  We

drove up and into Black Forest Mountains on Thatksgiving

day and it was a very small town.  The people, I think, had

never seen an American.  We ate sourkraut and weiners

and afterward I saw a chess set in one of the shops.

All the pieces had faces and the knights and castles were

absolutely beautiful.  The King and Queen stands about

4 inches tall.  I bought it for approx. $12.00 American.
