Question:

Is it possible to wire a 110v clock to a Square D pressure relief switch so it comes on only when the pump is?

Thanks you guys.....Thought it would be interesting to know at the end of the day, how many minutes the pump was on...plus I had a spare clock.....

  1. Sure you can! Wire it to the pump side. This is a wonderful Idea, but make sure it isn't a digital clock.. You can maybe cut the end of a extension cord and wire it to the pump and bring the other end closer to plug in the clock so you don't have to go to the well house.


  2. Yes.  I assume that the pressure switch is on a 230V pump.

    You wire the black to one side of the pressure switch with the pump wire and the white to the ground.

    Just curious, why do you want to do this.  I have done it on sprinkler systems with a light so the home owner can see if the pump is running when their pump is some distance away.
