Is it possible to wrap up a present with something other than wrapping paper?

Ok, so I'm out of gift wrap, and I can't get to the shops in time to get some, so are there any creative ideas of wrapping up a purse and nail varnish with something else?

Fabric....aluminum foil....newspapers...even a plain brown paper bag.  Most people throw away the wrappings anyways.  It is the gift that counts.

Aluminum foil.  Wax paper can be used - take some small flowers and put between 2 sheets of wax paper, was side facing.  Iron.  Attractive but it won't diguise you're gift well.  You could put the purse in a box then do the wax paper around the box.

since it's a girl, i think it would be cool if yu got norml paper nd ade a collage using magazine..with fashion && random things. it would be cool, looks pretty && shiny. or like other ppl said...yu could use newpaper or cloth...i used foil paper once && it lookd pretty cool. it depends on how much time you got..lol..or you can jst ask 4 sumone..if they got xtra wrapping paper..goodluck! =] && remember tht'sz wht'sz inside tht countsz!

do you have any spare gift bags ?

thats what i use.

or get tissue paper and wrap the presents in that and put it in the orginal bag you got when you brought  the presents

One of my friends uses wall paper :)  Whacky, but very durable, and I've found some cool vintage ones that are really cool.

Or, you could use the purse as a 'giftbag'.  Put the nail polish in the purse with some tissue poking out, and just wrap a big bow around the purse.

Fabric is a great idea, black and white newspaper with some really bright ribbon, comics, phone book pages, cereal box.

Actually, if you use newspaper and wrap nicely with ribbon, and possibly other decorations really does look nice.  Black or red ribbon looks swell.  Don't worry.  They will love your gift!!

i like using pretty fabric, old newspapers, cellophane, if you have time old book pages makes nice affect.

Plain white computer paper and use markers or crayons and color little designs all over it.... or if you have tissue paper you could just use the purse as a gift bag with the nail polish inside and the tissue paper sticking out of the purse like you would a gift bag
